Answer:

Yes probably, there wouldn't be camera phones recording the secret machinations of government behind closed doors, so yes. This is why leaks is so important!
put the right springs back on it
As an airsoft player I can tell you that the sport is worlds away from paintball. For the most part airsoft uses its realistic weapons to have a much more realistic game. The use of battery power and the size, shape and type of ammunition make airsoft cheaper to run on a game by game basis. A quality airsoft gun will run you at least $80 but if you are serious about the sport a gun may run up to $1000 dollars after respecing and upgrades. The few times I've played paintball, its been a slow slog of a game. Many players seem to be afraid of being shot and thus nonspeedball games turn into trench warfare. Airsoft does not hurt if everything goes as planned. In Airsoft one must call their own hits based on if they felt it, heard it or saw it. This does make it a lot easier to cheat, but most fields, mine included, have serious penalties for not playing fair. Most major games will have refs to decide if a rule was purpously infringed. IF you are looking for a long term hobby I would go with airsoft as its a fast growing and extremely customize-able game. IF you are intending to puts around a few times a year then paintball makes more sense.
