Question:

Does gold usually sit inside rocks that have quartz in them?

Does gold usually sit inside rocks that have quartz in them?

Answer:

The difference between diamond and graphite is heat and pressure: the pressure the woman puts on the man, to get her a diamond, and the heat he gets into if he doesn't buy her one. Ha Ha. Interesting point you make, and I guess it has to do with the crystalline structure. The hardness of a diamond varies according to the crystal face andd the direction, which is why a diamond can be polished with diamond dust.
Im not sure why the other two got a thumbs down, they are both correct. Quartz is made of SiO2 (silicon dioxide).
Diamond is only made of carbon. Quartz is made of silicon dioxide. Both minerals may have impurities. But, diamond is the only one made of a single element.
What Is Quartz Composed Of
Its is one hundreds percent false. They are not composed on single element. Diamond is composed of Carbon and of course it may have some impurities as trace elements which are not necessary for forming diamond. Similarly Quartz is made up of Silicon and oxygen and may also have trace elements within it which are not necessary for forming quartz. thnks
