Question:

Does it make a difference if i use wax paper instead of aluminum foil when baking?

I'm baking some cannelloni's and the instructions say to wrap the pan with aluminum foil, but i only have wax paperIs it okay if i use that?

Answer:

no it will fold up and crush anything you have on it because of the heat.try a pie pan
i wouldn't advise it unless u have the number to the fire depthandy.
you do no longer stand of challenge of transforming into a good cake with a toaster oven, a paper plate and plastic stemwarebypass to a bakery or a save and purchase your self a cakeonce you get a good mixer, cake pans and an oven then possibly you would be waiting to deal with some good recipes for a cake.
As mentioned, it's not good to use waxed paper in a regular oven because of the wax, but fine in a microwaveInstead of foil or waxed paper, you can use some other kind of flat (oven-safe) object as a lid though like a metal cookie sheet, ceramic plate, the bottom of a casserole dish, a metal pot without plastic handles, etc(Parchment paper -or plain silicone sheets/etc- is fine as long as the parchment is not too close to coils or sides, but you may not have those things.)
