This prompted the idea that anything like that was 'evil' But the same idea is used to mean 'mixing blood' when 'blood' is used in the same way as we would say DNA today. People as recently as the last 20 years have thought 'blood' was where all the genetic material was and if you were White you had White Blood and if you had a Native American ancestor, you had Indian blood, etc. Some bigots I have heard have said that the Bible forbids mixing of blood' in the sense of interracial marriage or relationships that result in mixed race children. I don't know what the Bible meant or exactly the terminology used.
