Does the prius‘ regenerative braking ever wear out?
the brake pads will wear out, but not the regenerative braking.

Nope--you don't have to worry about that. They'll probably stop selling gasoline before then. It's a brushless motor but I imagine it has bearings or bushings. I'm sure its life is well beyond 500,000 miles though.it's nothing you have to worry about. Brake away!
