my friend has a ps2 and i don't know which one hes got either the fat or the slim and i think the power cables for the fat and the slim are differnt so does the ps3 slim power cable work on any of them?

The slim is a two prong power cable however the fat one has a three prong.
The power cord for the ps3 slim is the same as the fat ps2. The power cord for the fat ps3 only goes to the fat ps3.The cable for the ps2 slim has two parts and the can take it apart and use it on ps3 slim.
