Does the US military have missile silos underneath the ocean around our borders and silos on satilites in spac?

Answer:

Not in spac or in space. Underneath the ocean yes, in submarines that move around, not permanent installations. Also on top of the ocean on ships. These are offensive/defensive. There are also defensive silos around the US. When I was a kid there where silos all over especially around the major cities. In Chicago and New York area they where often in waterfront parks and recreation areas.
Well, technically yes there are silos under the ocean, but they are in submarines. As for in space, what a huge scandal that would be... it would be a serious treaty violation. The US's ICBM silos are mostly in the north and central parts of the country. They are as far as possible from the early warning radar network that is in place to detect incoming ICBM's, so they would have the maximum amount of time to launch in case of an attack. Put them on the border, and they'd be easier to hit before they can launch. One place famous for having nuke silos is North Dakota.
an on the Moon. We call it the Allen Parsons Project
ArmyChemo - Haha, there is a reason to watch out for the moon my friend.
Hmmm. you forgot to mention the 3-card Monte trucks. The trucks cannot launch missiles but they move them from silo to silo so that it is harder to know which silos to hit with a preemptive strike. Anyway we have only about 1/4 as many as we had at the peak period. At that point we could have blasted the land masses of the earth, all of them, to radioactive green glass 6 times over. Now we can do it only 1.5 times. The under ocean launch sites are on submarines, and the only sites near the borders are ABM sites, though the ABMs have never been proven to work.
