I live a minute away from a Wal Mart and I need a new bed.
I'm not sure that all locations carry them, but Walmart does sell beds. May just be at their Superstores. Definitely have them online. I bought a memory form mattress that came in a box. And steel frame to put it on. Was very inexpensive. But a good bed. Have had it for 18 months and it still sleeps like new.
WalMart does sell beds (also mattress sets, mattress toppers, all bedding). Check out their website (below). If they don't stock what you're looking for in your local store you can order it online and have it shipped free 'site-to-store'.
