One of my dogs loves it.. I just vacuumed him for about 10 minutes.. he was in heaven! My other two are afraid of the vacuum... lol
My one Mastiff LOVES the vacume cleaner he runs to me and insists i run the hose with a funiture brush over him. He sits still and just drools he is so happy and when i stop he keeps nudging me to keep going. The other mastiff the female likes it when i vacume her but is not as silly to watch as the male is.. he is in love with the vacume down his back. I have never heard of a dog neing hurt by the vacume action..lol LMAO. Allot of pet groomers use a vacume brush on dogs, along with the blow dryers so if the dog is use to being groomed then they have no reason to fear the vacume. It sucks up the lose hair that would other wise shed from them. We used to have a golden retreiver that also loved it. And both my long hair cats have liked it. It is all in how they are treated while use of it and how it is used..as a scare tactic or as a grooming.
It's good to be informed of this, another difference 'twixt dogs and cats. Cats universally flee the room faster than a speeding thought, when a vacuum is turned on--sometimes if it's even just brought into the room! But they are fixated magically by those little penlight laser beams, if you whirl the light around on the rug. I wonder what dogs feel about those laser lights, and how they respond? And I now have an idea. Could I train the kitty cats to flee the room in terror if I conditioned them by playing the laser light and then immediately turning on a vacuum cleaner?!? What do you think? :-)
My last dog didn't mind being vacuumed. She was a very heavy shedder (GSD-mix), so occasional vacuuming helped keep things under control. I also once had a roommate who regularly vacuumed his cat. The cat seemed to like it. I haven't been brave enough to try it on my cats, though...
Your canine is probable thinking oooh goody a toy play play play play!!!! he/she could additionally be thinking, Oh no that stupid and loud vacuum purifier is on lower back, or what's that element? Its invading my territory. What if it pees and marks its spot? aah!!!! i might propose putting your canine outdoors once you vacuum. It would not injury your canine ears as lots (because of the fact he/she would not pay attention it) And if your canine does have a territory on your place, and your canine is interior, do no longer vacuum so on the brink of it until your canine could desire to truly care aless or he/she is outdoors! i actual desire this helped!
My pup loves to be vacuumed, he is a little fear full when I first turn it on in the house and after a while he will kinda follow me then I just go and vacuum him. He ends up laying on the ground and falling a sleep, just like when I scratch his ears... lol
