when i work out i always start out by benching. recently, instead of taking a break between my bench press sets, i have been doing sets of 10 - 20 pushups, then taking a short rest, and then doing another set on the bench. i usually do about 3 - 4 sets of eachdoes anyone know if that is a good way to do it

you need to rest for get some ATP back, so take a 20-30 sec rest in between bench pressing sets bench pressing = more strenuous than pushups, and they target the same muscles so you're actually doing less weight when you do the pushups. in other words, if you weigh 150, and you're bench pressing 200 x15, then u do a set of pushups, say 25...the pushups will act as a lesser weight...so do them later in your workout, by the time you're done you should barely be able to do 4 sets of pushups.
