My new college has XL twin beds. What are your expirences in finding bedding that fits? Any tips?
That is the size at all colleges and most stores carry that size bedding during the summers.
Go to bed bath and beyond - they have some made specifically for long dorm beds
the one thing I know about most xl sets is that the xl sheets will fit a standard twin or at least so I have heard I would imagine jersey knit ones would they are pretty elastic (and darn comfy) as far as the comforter standard twin should do just fine the only difference between twin and twin xl is the twin xl is longer Fitted Sheet Size: Twin - XL Dimensions: 39 x 80 x 7 39-by-75-inch fitted sheet is the regular twin so its only a difference of 5 inches you wont even notice that on the comforter or quilt for that matter
Don't go to Bed, Bath and Beyond. Their college bedding is way overpriced and their selection was limited. Starting in June/July every store is going to have dorm bedding. Best prices and selections go to Target and Kohl's. Even JCPenny's had dorm bedding. Last year we went everywhere looking for dorm bedding. My daughter was a junior and needed new bedding.
