Question:

Dorm bedding question?

Where does everybody buy their beddings at? Also, I'm having a private room for a semester or two and I have no idea what size I need to buy. Twin XL sheets for single beds, but for two twin beds put together? Could I get away with a queen comforter??

Answer:

Not sure where you are located but both Target and Walmart sell the X-long sheets. And yes you could get away with a queen comforter.
Your college should tell you what size the beds are. Just call up housing and ask!!! Most dorm beds are twin XL. Most stores will be getting in dorm bedding soon- I have already seen it at WalMart. Kohl's, Target, even Macy's gets in college Twin XL bedding. sheets, comforters, mattress covers will all come in twin XL. Just because you will be having a private room doesn't mean they will leave two twin size beds in there. or that you will be able to push them together. You can look up the width of a twin size bed on line and the width of a queen size comforter too.
You can by twin XL bedding almost everywhere. And if by private room, you mean a single, the school most likely only has one bed in there. Contact your school's housing office to make sure of this. Also pushing two beds together is not going to be comfortable because there will be a bit of space in the middle of the two beds.
