Question:

drapes/curtains without making holes in the wall?

hi, i live in a dorm room and i want to put up drapes or curtains but i cant make holes/damage the walls. do they have drapes or curtains that dont require holes?

Answer:

Look for rods that have are a tension rod.
If the walls are smooth, you can try the Command Hooks that have the adhesive tabs that can be removed without damaging the walls if you follow the directions for removal (pulling the tabs off very slowly until they are completely off). I used a round curtain rod and used fairly heavy curtains. They were up over a year before I took them down to move.
if the walls either side are not far apart you could use a tension pole, the ones that have a spring inside, and round rubber pads for the walls, they would only hold light curtains though, what about one of those screens, like a room divider/ dressing screen, you could put across the window when needed, and fold away when not
