OK I am trying to make one of those soda drinking hats (because I have all of this spare clear plastic tubing from Menards from another project, and I couldn't think of anything else to do with it). When drinking out of it, it gives that plastic-like taste which I hope will go away over time. Anyway is this bad for me because I don't know if there is a different cleaner tubing that the real hats use and if it is safe to drink from their tubes. Should I just buy one of the hats off OKorder or just make my own... I don't want to poison myself or anything.
what kind of tubing was it? was it sitting in the garage for months? the plastic taste isnt bad, but if it was sitting in your garage for months, you might wanna run soappy water throught it a few times then run clean water throught it for a few mins....just to be safe
