Question:

Dryer not drying clothes???

My dryer is only 3 years old. It is taking atleast 2 hours to dry clothes. What could be the problem, it has heat and it does dry, but it takes forever!!

Answer:

If you really want to do it that badly, make sure to use gloves! And the way you sterilized the safety pin sounds good, but if I were you I would use a sewing needle instead, because it makes a bigger hole and gives you more options for rings. And yes, I would numb it with ice. But if you want there is this dental gel you can buy that will numb it almost completly. I used some one time not knowing what it was, and believe me it works!
Dipping something in alcohol and burning it does not sterilize it. I'm really against enabling dumb kids, but if you're absolutely hellbent on doing it yourself, then you should boil it in distilled water for at least 15 minutes. The fact that you don't know what to do to create the most sterile environment to correctly do a piercing should be a really clear indication that you don't know what you're doing and shouldn't be piercing yourself. You're more than likely going to place it badly and have irreversible oral damage that'll cost thousands of dollars to try to repair. I'm sure your mom will just love that. What a respectful child.
First you have to realize there are legitimate reasons not to get an eyebrow piercing, Just because it looks cool isn't a good enough reason to do it. If your dad says no you have to be willing to accept it and not go behind his back and do it anyways. You can try talking to him and actually finding out why he doesn't want you to get one. The most common reason is that most of the people that do get them are wanna be goths. They have made it so that anyone who does get an eyebrow piercing is looked at as irresponsible, emo, lazy and socially dysfunctional. If your dad doesn't want you to be associated with that type of astigmatism be glad he loves you and take no for an answer. However if you can't take no for an answer try to explain to him CALMLY why you would like one. Tell him how you feel and why you'd like to get it done.
Yes the safety pin will be sterile enough, although there will be factors that you can't control, such as infection afterwards from an open wound. Your hands and the safety pin will be sterile enough to avoid direct infection, although i would advise seeing a professional for this type of piercing
show her you are responsible enough for it. Have your dad bring you to the store and buy the pads, helmet and shoes, bring it home and have a discussion about the pros and cons (write a list) of your new hobby and why it means so much to you. She will see you have thought about it and considered her point of view (cons) and she will see yours as well (pros). Once she realizes you took the first steps to safety and the time to think it though, she will reconsider. (it wouldnt hurt to have dad on your side either ;) )
