Dynex memory card reader not working.?

I am trying to download pictures onto my computer but whenever I plug my memory card reader with the memory card in it into my computer nothing shows up and it is not detected at all. i am using a lexar memory stick PRO duo any help?

If you are using WindowsXP: Go to StartControl PanelSystem and click on the Hardware Tab Click on Device Manager When the device tree opens up, right click on your computer name (top icon) and select Scan for hardware changes Your memory card reader should now appear under disk drives and should now appear on your Windows Explorer screen under My Computer Hope that helps.
