Question:

Electrical equipment abroad producing static.?

Hello, we have recently bought a holiday home in Morocco and I've noticed that all my electrical appliances (e.g. fridge, televisions, laptops etc) are giving off slight static. Its not just at my home but its also at different places around the city of Casablanca. One example, my laptop is made of aluminium and whilst charging, if I rub my hand down the laptop, I can feel a large amount of static but when charging the same laptop here in the UK, I don't encounter the issue at all. Its not just with my laptop, its with almost anything I plug into any mains socket in the country. The building where we live is only four years old and so the wiring must be fairly new. Is there anything I can purchase to prevent all this static from building up and possibly destroying my belongings?Thank you
