Question:

Engineered Wood - Gluedown or floating floor?

I plan on converting my carpet to Engineered Wood. Should I use gluedown or floating floor? I heard gluedown is better because it won't create noise when you walk. Does gluedown work for Engineered wood? thanks

Answer:

Floating floor is much easier to repair.
im a builder ...engineered flooring is great ...unlike normal wood it does not cup ...go hollow in middle ..but have never put down a floating one ...you would need to consult manufacturer as i doubt it ...allso glueing ...the normal is secret nailing with the special nailgun ...you can hire them
flooring continually is going less than those homestead equipment. The flooring will do its ingredient as typical, in spite of a range and ref on them. a million/4 is the classic length hollow thats mandatory. Installer must have prepared some ingredient with you about the homestead equipment. both to have you ever bypass them out and in, you to bypass them out and he to interchange them or he will do it both ideas. If the e book circumstances are free status they might want to be moved and adjusted on the flooring at the same time as performed. Any questions you could e-mail me with the help of my avatar,Ive attended numerous setting up seminars , besides as put in a pair one hundred,000 s/f. GL
I've had allot of success with floating floors, been using them for the last 10 years. If you want to improve on the sound proofing install acoustic membrane first it works great.
