Answer:

You can try putting something stick, like double sided tape on the doorCats don't like when their paws stick to things, and there's a chance it'll keep her from touching itOtherwise, you can try and put a thin piece of plastic over the door (hard plastic like those flexible cutting boards mats) to protect itThey also make little plastic covers for a cats fingernails that keep them from being able to scratch and destroy things as an alternative to de-clawingThe only place I've seen these is online though, and I'm sure you want a quicker solutionYou can also spray the mom with a water bottle filled with a very weak solution of water and vinegar when you catch her clawing at the doorCats hate the smell of vinegar (be sure not to spray her eyes, it will burn) and it can be a useful training toolHowever, your door may be shot before she gets the messageI strongly recommend you find something to cover the door up with (at least the bottom part she can reach).
if you were locked in with a 5 week old child, you would bite the door tooweaning starts at 2 weeks, mom starts limiting how long she lets them nurse , by 5 weeks, mom is hiding from the kittens, climbing up on high places and showing them where the cat food isshe cant get away from the kittens if she is locked in with themim sorry, but you really shouldnt be fostering kittensthey are at the age where they need to wander to develop muscle and coordination and meet humansotherwise, they will be anti social and unadoptable.
