Question:

Expiration date on fire extinguisher?

I have had a small fire extinguisher in my kitchen for several years. Fortunately never had to use it. I can't find any expiration date on the outside.

Answer:

My home town used to do this, it was called a Department of Public Safety. They no long do this. Here are some advantages and disadvantages: Using a DPS system, a city can maintain a smaller workforce. Police officers respond to fires and have their equipment in their Patrol vehicles. This actually increases response time as well. The problem with this is if there is a fire, all of the police respond to it and there is no longer a law enforcement presence. One of the reason the idea was abandoned was that some one could start a small fire as a diversion to commit a large crime. The amount of training to make a person a police officer, EMT and Fire fighter is quite expensive. Now the city has to pay for three very expensive school for one person. AND, if that person has a hard time with the EMT portion, he can not be a police officer. Even if he is a savant in that arena. This process works well in smaller communities that does not have a large pool of people to choose from. However, smaller communities also rely on volunteer fire and rescue departments as well. This concept does not work in large metro cities.
If you have any concern of liability, such as fire etc, using non original parts could void your insurance coverage if the failure is traced to the hose.
i've never cut any highlighted hair for locks of love, it was always virgin hair. but there are places to sell your hair ..i think places that make extensions. i'd goggle or do a search before just throwing it away.
All it is is an exhaust vent line. Anyway that you can get it outside will work. Even if you use dryer vent line. You just want to exhaust the heat outside where it won't heat up your room.
Home Depot and Lowe's carry 4 and 6 diameter hoses. The best thing to do is to replace the supplied hose with one of the Home Depot insulated hoses. They run about $30.00 here in Cali. The reason these insulated hoses are better than the Manufacture supplied plastic hoses is that they eliminate heat being radiated back into the room from the hose walls. This may not seem like a big deal but if you try it, you will notice a difference in your units ability to cool the room. I went with a 6 insulated hose, duct tape and a clamp to secure the larger 6 to the Sharp 5.25 hose connectors.
