Question:

Filling up golf cart batteries with distilled water?

At work we have to fill up our golf cart batteries with distilled water. Sometimes people overfill them and after a day or two there is a lot of white stuff that appears on the floor afterwards. What is it?? Is this stuff harmful to humans?? can it cause cancer if people inhale / are exposed to it??. Also are there any dangers when filling up batteries with the distilled water?? I mean from the battery acid exposure??

The quickest way would be to go hire a Kango or equivalent to break up the tiles. The other way is a lump hammer and bolster (cold chisel) but this is not quick and its hard graft. It depends how much you have to rip up, if it was me i would use a kango. Take advise from the other poster and wear gloves, tiles when broken are razor sharp.
