I have to be honest, I'm in my thirties and I experience the same problems with men my own age. I don't think that it's any one generation that sucks, I think it just takes time to find the right person. The wrong people behave as you're describing.
Therotically such a thing could be staged with a lot of technology and tricks. That would make the project as expensive as to go there in original. What you should take into account: Since WWI a Zeppelin could be located with one meter (3 ft.) precision by radio direction finding. Apollo 11 was 1969, in the middle of the Cold War. It was until Apollo 13 that we thought Russians EAT Westerners (then we saw some of them lighting candles for the Apollo 13 crew). If the USA would have staged a Moon landing the Russians would have located them on the micrometer in half a second. Breschnew would have invited at least 250 of the most important journalists of the world and would have flown them First Class exactly to the location were the Radio signals would have come from. Such a propagada victory they never ever would have just let go. All spy satellites would have spied upon one single place on the earth then - believe me. I recently saw the fantastic documentation In the Shadow of the Moon. Look at the clip below. It cannot be faked this way, even not today.
One thing should get real clear to all. The welfare that San Francisco pays comes out of the Federal Treasury in part at at least. And another thing to be clear about it is nice to protect the kids, but it is a lot nice to protect the taxpayer and that is something San Francisco is not doing. In fact, they are saying.. screw the tax payer! Will they come back the next day? Provide them welfare and they will, and San Francisco is NOT in charge of immigration policy or national affairs. One very crummy policy for the American People.
My boyfriend is 25. Yes, he plays a lot of video games and goes online a lot, but he also is going back to school (he has his bachelor's, he wants to go to law school). He has manners, but they come so naturally. Like, he always opens door and just pays attention to things I like. I don't think all guys in our generation suck, but I think they need a lot of pushing to get to where they can be.
