Ive had this problem for a few years now.Every now and again the fire alarm will go off BUT no smoke and no fire. So we cleaned it out and vacuumed it but it still keeps going off.Its not a carbon monoxide detector and it is wired into the mains with battery backup.Help will be appreciated.

really dude, getting hit by an airsoft gun isn't the biggest deal. But, you should wear safety goggles and gloves. If your really that worried about it wear long-sleaves and a hoody.
