Question:

Fire alarm went off while baking. Will the firemen come?

I live in an apartment complex.I forgot to turn on the fan, so it was all hot in the kitchen, which made the alarm go off.I'm short, so it took me a while to actually turn the alarm off. ( Had to go find a stool )I turned off the alarm for now. ( Scared that it might turn on again )Will they come?Because it was just me baking.

Answer:

first off, dont press any buttons on the smoke detector. its normal. if there was any problems your keypad would be telling you.
It depends on the tolerance limit of your friends. I went to the exhibit when it was in Houston, and while it was very well-presented, volunteers had to be sure that the typical 'guffaw - look, a naked body - gross!!' expressions didn't happen. My husband lasted all of three minutes, then left since the one thing that everyone seems to forget is that these are real bodies, not life-like molds of them.
Sometimes there is a latch feature. This allows you to tell which alarm was triggered in a house where all the alarms are tied together. It also lead to a chirping similar to what happens when the battery needs to be replaced. Best thing to do - find documentation for your brand of alarm. It will give you the meaning of the status light codes. Unfortunately, as someone who still has to wrestle with the Spanish instruction version of the smoke detector I installed 10 years ago (I don't speak Spanish) because I lost the English version, I know that you can't easily find them online all the time. So, if you happen to have a First Alert, press and hold the test button down, and if you get a single long chirp, and then the light goes back to solid green, they the flashing green meant alarm latch.
The best thing to do would be to have a serious talk with him. Tell him that if he doesn't get his act together, he will fail school and life for that matter. Then, let him be. If he fails, it's his problem. He'll be a legal adult in 3 years and still has his mommy making sure he doesn't fail school? I know you care and want the best for him, but I think you're hurting him in the end by taking on his responsibilities for him. He sounds like one of those kids that has to hit rock bottom in order to get it.
