Question:

Fire Alarms in Common Stairwell?

I live in a private residential three storey block of flats with a common stairwell with plasted walls and tiled floors. We have had a fire risk assessment undertaken that recommends fire alarms and emergency lighting. The common stairwells have in their 40year history have never had a fire incident, there is nothing flammable in the common stairwells. The common stairwells a very nice to look at and we think fire alarms and emergency lighting is un-necessary. Can we resist this requirement?

Answer:

Nope, no way you can change the weather. Just keep an eye and ear on the tv and radio for any information about the weather. If your friend can't get into the basement, an interior room would be the best place to go to.
thunder/lightning: check if your house has a lightning rod. if it doesn't you're still okay, but stay away from electronics, pipes, and other conductors. rain: really not much to worry about, unless you have flood conditions. in that case, get to relatively high ground. wind/tornado: crack open your windows. that'll get rid of air pressure imbalances: those cause damage to your house's structure if it's blowing really hard out. If a tornado has been spotted, find a room on ground floor without windows, and find cover from possible flying debris. that said, it takes a hunkin' lot of effort from mother nature to kill anyone, more than she's usually willing. and, if it helps, some phones are still usable if the power's out. best to ya.
Okay, go to a salon and find the Paul Mitchell stuff (it has to be a salon, they don't sell it in other stores) It's a clear bottle with green writing and it makes you hair so SHINY!!!!!!!!!! Hope I helped! (it IS like 17.00, but it works so well!) And when you put it in, short hair: the siz of a pea, long hair: the size of a nickel/quarter (in between), LONG long hair, the size of a quarter. Don't put toooo much in, or it will look greasy. My aunt's a hairdresser and we got this for Christmas it works AMAZING!!!!!!!
