Question:

folding paper cranes?

My grandma has just gotten cancer and I want to send her a paper crane in her get well card. However, is it bad luck to send just one, do you have to send 1,000? I would like to send 1,000 but i don't have the time, experience with origami, or enough room in the envelope, and i only have till tomorrow.

Answer:

That sounds a little too time consuming for just a friend she might wondering if you're a little too into her. people usually make paper cranes in a time of crisis and illness, not for peoples' birthdays. I guess it's the thought that counts though.

A novice at origami (me) can fold a paper crane in a minute, so that's one-thousand minutes. (1000/60=16.666) so it'll only take sixteen hours. I'm only joking. Just fold one and write This may be only one crane, but has the heart of a thousand or something. (sorry for the cheesy line) I hope your grandma gets better, I know how it feels, as my brother has brain tumour.
You can send her a few NICE paper cranes and write her a nice letter, it's the thought that counts.
