ok im doing a report on food additives and was wondering if you knew some names or good website for this. i mean additives like KFC inject into their chicks to make them bigger. or Monsanto (think that was it) inject into their cows to make them produce more milk. anything to do with animals thanks
Some used to use diethylstilbestrol (DES), but they stopped that around 1960 because it caused cancer in women. Since then it has been illegal to use hormones or steroids in chicken at all. They might be using other kinds of additives now, but none that I know of, sorry. However, one thing to look out for lately has been genetic modification to chickens to make them grow larger and quicker.
