I turned on my wiper today accidentally, the windshield was frozen with ice on it. the wiper came up 1/4 of the way and stopped with moving 1 inch up and down periodically but nothing else. I was able to push the wipers down and cleaned off the ice that was present in the beginning of the wiper. Now the wiper only comes up 1/4 of hte way and goes up and down an inch. what could be the problem?
sounds like you got ice down on your wiper arms,stopping them from moving them up all the way.if you can reach the arms,try breaking the ice away.
its probably just jammed, if it was burned out then it wouldn't move at all.
