I was just wondering [roughly] how many mugs of coffee an 8-cup French press would make. I would only be needing it for myself in the morning but I fear a 3-cup might be cutting it close and even lack versatility.
A french press is measured in espresso-sized (2oz) shots. If you have a 12-16oz mug, a 8-cup press will be perfect. I use a 12-cup press since my mug is 20oz. You can always fill it with less coffee water, so getting a bigger pot isn't bad.
