Question:

Friday night football attracts more viewers than Better Homes and Gardens?

During the finals anyway. In the home and away season BHG is usually in the top 3 and the football is out of the top 10.Friday September 4 2009Adelaide Vs Essendon - 1,022,000 viewersBetter Homes And Gardens - 1,011,000 viewersFriday September 11 2009Western Bulldogs V Brisbane Lions - 1,187,000 viewersBetter Homes And Gardens - 827,000 viewersChannel 7 are NOT showing the St Kilda game live, but according to the last two weeks they probably should. They probably figure that since they are getting such good ratings for BHG and the football that they don't need to show the game live.I'm just glad that channel 10 is broadcasting their Prelim live.

Answer:

The football should be shown live on every friday night oz wide instead of BHG
If I was Managaer of Channel 9, I could help them get ratings on Friday Night and every other night. After 8:30, all shows are just smut with lots of hot chicks showing their b00bs. Watch the ratings come in and the footy get about 125,000-175,000 viewers. It's not Rocket Science.
During the regular season the ratings would depend on which teams are playing. If North Melbourne were to play Fremantle on a friday night the ratings wouldn't be so good. I agree that friday night games during the finals rate better than Better Homes and Gardens.
Yeah I know that Better Homes and Gardens gets its good views from people turning on to watch the footy early. I thought channel 7 was showing the game live, maybe that's just SA though...
channel 7 is just being stubborn. instead of moving home and away from a friday night and putting an hour of it on thursday night why dont they just leave home and away on at 7 on friday then at 7:30 show the footy. no offense to better homes and gardens fans but seriously who wants to watch that instead of the footy.
