I am 16 and about to buy my first road bike and I‘m stuck between these two bikes, spec wise could somebody tell me which is better as I don‘t really know they are both roughly the same price and seem the same to me. Also, I know its whether or not it feels right but they both feel right. Also, another question the both have different shifters. The fuji has Shimano 2300 Dual Control with a thumb/brake, which means you have to shift up on the back gears in the upright position. Whereas the dolomite has Shimano Sora ST-3500 which you can use in both positions. But I mainly stay in the upright position.
I would try other bikes with the Sora ST-3500 shifters or upgrade. you may not care about shifting from the drops now but you will.
Why don't you take it to a reliable small mechanic, all of your problems sound simple. Take it to a mechanic and get a quote.
