Question:

Fuzzy LCD monitor?

I recently got a Viewsonic VA703b Antiglare LCD monitor in march, and about a month after I got it I started noticing that it was fuzzy. It's not that noticeable unless I'm viewing anything dark. I've tried tweaking the monitor settings, checking to make sure everything was plugged in right, trying it on a different (and better) computer, and pretty much everything else except changing the cord that hooks up through the monitor and computer. Could it possibly be a faulty monitor cord, or is it a defective monitor (or does this normally happen in LCD Monitors after a while)

Answer:

Raise the Screen Refresh Frequency in Desktop settings , ( right click destop Setting Advanced ) It should help !
here are some possiblereasons * its a cheap LCD * reinstall your video drivers * change your resolution
LCDs can not go out of focus, so should not look fuzzy. Set the Screen resolution (Under the Settings tab of the Display properties) to the native resolution of the panel. Usually the highest resolution available if plug and play is working properly. Just in case plug and play is not working click the apply button rather than the O.K. If you see a resolution change and a message box saying to click OK then that resolution is supported. If the screen goes blank it should come back in 15 seconds when you fail to click on the message. Set the refresh rate to 60 Hz. Open up Notepad, maximise it and fill the screen with H characters. Then hit the auto setup on the monitor. Anti glare coatings can blur the image very slightly, nut it should not be noticeable unless you are looking really hard at the screen.
1 thing you don't say that you checked is the image resolution. An LCD has 1 native resolution, and this is the ONLY setting it will truly be clear on. If it's a 17 normally this is 1280x1024, buth check it's specs. Set video mode to this, and see if it helps, if not, it could eb the cable, or interference on the cable. move video cable AWAY from power leads, if no luck, try to borrow a signal cable from a friend. Still no luck, contact manuf support or shop from where you bought it
