My thumb is more black than green...

Getting the land surveyed may be a thank you to define out. yet he sounds like a whackjob. the subsequent question is - do you somewhat desire to amplify the situation for a measley 3 inches of land? Is that land somewhat what's important to you? Or are you purely attempting to truly make him pass ballistic? i might do my superb to ignore approximately him, and not ramp up the situation into an all out conflict. If he's loopy adequate to tell you which you won't be in a position to touch the wall, and he's wiping fowl droppings off with a tissue...in case you stress him to get rid of the fence, he sound like the style might might placed out poisoned seed for the birds just to spite you, or pour gas on your prominent flowers at evening.
I'm old but here is what my mom did for us. She took a small sweet potato and put it in a container of water. Half in the water and half out. It would sprout a sweet potato vine and grow like crazy. I think pansies would do fine. Any annual might be what you are looking for. My granddaughter and I planted small marigolds in pots. Rose moss is pretty also. Good luck with the kids.
there are plenty of vegetable's that can be grown in pots cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, there is a variety of carrots that is small but the season is short and the carrots are supposed to be pretty sweet. As for flowers some of the fun ones for children might be johnny jump ups(they are always happy because they have a smile on there face) Pansy's, snapdragons, petunias and nasturtiums. There are so many different kinds of flowers that would work you might just want to pick out a few different colors so you have a variety. Good luck and have fun !
Hm... Pretty much any garden plant can be grown in a pot, but try to stay away from anything that needs tons of water, like roses, tomatoes, stuff like that, unless you're home often enough to water them every day. For flowers, just anything that fits the sort of sun that the garden gets. Also, you need make sure that what you get does well in your zone, so these will sort of be general suggestions. For flowers, geraniums and other annuals usually do well in pots. If you want cutflowers, do bulbs like tulips, lillies, daff's. They are very easy and rewarding. You can also do herbs that they can use when they cook, like basil, oregano, parsely. For fruit and veggies... If you buy tomatoes, get a bush type (Determinate), so you don't have to stake it and prune it (unless you have the time and money for the stuff to do it) Kids like cherry tomatoes that are sweet. There are also cool novelty green, purple, and orange tomato varieties. You could also do strawberries or any native berries that grow well in your climate. Stick with things that are easy and grow fast, like bulbs, herbs, berries, and easy veggies. Good luck!
Pansy's, miniature conifer trees. cabbages .most plants that can be planted in the garden can go in to pots and vegetables tomatoes are the best they have to be planted in to seed trays then when they start to get leaves on them a bigger pot then when a few inches bigger a larger pot or try water cress
