Question:

geforce 7900gs glitching and locking up?

My videocard is MSI nx7900gs OC edition and my motherboard is Gigabyte ga-m55SLI-s4 socket AM2 motherboard. whenever I play bf2142 or Medieval Total war 2, my screen glitches and locks up in midgame. I tried reinstalling different kinds of forceware drivers (Xtreme-g, original NVidia, MSI) and even update my mainboard driver and the problem is still there. I tried to move it to another pcie slot and all I get is long beep. Do I have to reinstall windows, have the card replaced, or is there an easier way?

Answer:

See Don S. above. Just to be sure, call the gas utility company and ask if they will come and do a carbon monoxide test reading. You seem to indicate the heat is from an oil furnace. No matter. The gas utility folks are usually pretty good about running free CO tests. If that does not work, stop by the closest fire station and ask if they will stop by for a free CO test. CO has no odor, but with a screwed up oil heating plant, who knows what is going on. CO is deadly stuff. But even a small amount each day over a period of weeks and months can make folks sick. That is because CO builds up in the body and it takes an extreme amount of time to get it out out the body.
Traditionally in the old days, feet were highly sexualized and were often a symbol of a woman's dignity, rank, and fertility. Women were completely covered and were considered vulgar if they left something exposed. Feet are often a symbol of purity. The devil was said to have hooves, and in European folklore, anything that was considered evil had some form of disfigured feet, such as hooves or scales or even bird-like talons! It was strongly believed that a woman couldn't be successful on her own. She had to be married and have children. If a single, unmarried woman was able to become rich or gain power somehow, it was strange and therefore had to have had supernatural causes. These supernatural circumstances would leave blemishes in places that could not be normally seen, such as the torso, legs, or feet, as they were never to be exposed to anyone other than her husband. If she were a witch, she would have the ugly, horrible feet that I described above. If she were innocent and pure, she would have a normal lady's foot. There used to be many silly legends about successful women having to show their feet in order to prove that they were not of the Devil's kingdom. A woman being successful? Nooooooooo, she definitely made a deal with the devil! :P
They're supposed to make you slow down because the bump messes with your shocks/springs and give you and your car a bad jolt. Mostly, they are to enforce the speed limit or caution in an area to make it safer for pedestrians potential j-walkers reduce harm.
