Question:

Getting my central heating to the right temp.?

So I have a temp dial on the boiler and also thermostatic valves on all of the radiators. What temp are the numbers on the valve set to? I have noticed that it doesn't seem to make much difference to the radiators if I turn the boiler up to full. Thing is the last radiator doesn't seem to be getting hardly warm so I assume my boiler isn't set high enough. Can someone explain what I should be doing I'm really confused!

Answer:

You may need to bleed the air out of any cold radiators. If you have zone pumps (more than 1 t-stat would indicate that) a pump may have failed. Some radiators have auto bleeder valves that become clogged over time. If your not handy I would get a service man out to replace the valves, bleed air, and clean the heat exchanger and flue. It shouldn't be too expensive. You may need to add water to the system too. Service can teach you all about it. Next year you will know how to prepare for winter. Get them out for cleaning and inspection deal, wheel and deal on the bleeding.
