Question:

Glass v Ceramic stove cooktop?

what is better glass or ceramic cooktops I need pros cons with brand name as well please. ) Thanks

Answer:

I have a ceramic - maytag I think. I like it, it looks nice in my kitchen but.it sucks to clean. I have to use special cleaner for it and sometimes even a razor blade if someone spills something and it gets cooked on.
i purchased a GE ceramic accurate range about 3 years in the past. i like it.i could not in any respect go back to cleansing burners back. The ceramic accurate is really common to guard and the nice and cozy temperature source heats up lots speedier and extra even than burners. i ought to fairly advise buying one. verify round and evaluate expenses.I were given mine at Lowe's.
Porcelain is the best, I know it's older looking, but glass and ceramic are extremely hard to clean, I just got glass and it's gas stove, and I like stuff looking nice, but there is no way no how to clean glass, and I called the company on this {GE} what they told me is to take a straight edge razor to get spot, water stains or anything burnt on. Secondly, after I've done that now I clean the stove top with water and soap, never does it clean without smearing, yes I've tried everything windex, vinegar, alcohol, you name it I've tried it. My Porcelain was so much easy-er to clean, dish detergent and a little scrub sponge got everything nice and shinny clean, also on dark glass, it all ways has a dusty look on it, this is my second stove and probably my last and I made a terrible decision, good for u for asking questions, gotta love the internet. As for brands it's really what you can afford. Don't buy GLASS.
