Just for the record i'm thirteen, and i am going there on March 21st for 5 days on a school trip.Ok, here is where we start.What should I pack?How long is the distance from California to Virginia?What is the biggest thing to look forward to?(we are going to a list of places Washington Memorial, Air/Space, That one Smithsonian with America's pop culture, POSSIBLY a tour of the White House, Pentagon City Mall, Lincoln Memorial, a magazine building and a whole bunch of other stuff in Virginia/DC)Are the restaurants nice?I think i'm staying in a Crown Royal, is that nice?What will weather be like?What does the inside of the Washington memorial look like?and that's basically it, i'm REALLY looking forward to it!

Its about a 5 hour flight, driving will take several daysThe weather here is cold right now, usually no warmer than mid 40's or so, so bring warm clothesBy mid March you might see some warmer temps but it'll probably still be rather chilly The places you have on your list are the key places you want to see, just make sure you have a good map or tour guideDC can be a little confusingTry to get to the Vietnam Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown SoldierThe armed guard at the Tomb is one of the highest honors in this countryFor some great dining and shopping try the Georgetown/DuPont Circle area The Northern VA area doesn't offer a whole lot in the way of sight-seeing, but there is some good dining and shopping there Baltimore City is about a 20 minute drive from DC and the Inner Harbor area is a great tourist areaIf you can make it to Baltimore, you will find the best seafood in the worldTry Phillips Seafood in the Inner Harbor if you get the chanceHave fun and be safe!
the best way would be to knit the animals larger than needed and felt them in the washing machine they have to be at least 80% wool or it doesnt work - You can also use needle felting needles to overlap the yarns together and felt them it doesn't matter if they are twisted - It might be quicker to go to your wool marketing board and buy a fleece off them - they often have cheap ones that they want to lose - Another quick way is to buy old jumpers from charity shops mens ones are large and usually wool the label will tell you and then hand felt in hot water or machine wash on 40 degrees with a plastic plimsoll in the machine to bash it around a bit - I do a fair amount of felting and you can mix and match all the ways
