Question:

Bevel gear measurement for help!

Good heroes! Brother recently in the study of bevel gear measurement, all kinds of software must input bevel gear installation distance. I know what the installation distance is, but I don't understand what this has to do with my measurement. The other one is the three-dimensional figure measured by the tooth surface of bevel gear. What do you think? Since the involute cylindrical gears have been measured only, the understanding of bevel gear measurement is almost zero. Thank you all!

Answer:

You can first set the value to a larger value, and then remove the excess part with the removal operation. PS: if LZ wants to know more about it, it's usually written in such books as "mechanical design manual", "machine tool design manual" and so on.
This should be related to the design itself. For the automatic generation of bevel gear 3D software, this size is required. It must be greater than the crown pitch, if you just need to generate a three-dimensional model of the bevel gear tooth
I don't quite understand what you mean. If I understand correctly, you should say that the mounting distance should be the distance between the center line of the gear to which it fits and the axial alignment surface of the gear when it is installed
