Question:

good plastic baits for bass fishing?

who has the best fishing plastic baits I want to try different kinds. Ive only mostly used zoom, I was wondering if berkley or mann's or any other brands work good too

Answer:

Obviously everyone knows plastic worms are good for bass but i dont think they are the best. I fished in bass tournaments before and have also been on lakes and seen what the bassmasters use. A lot of people like the sweet beaver plastic. You rig it texas style and i have had a lot of success with it as well. For smallmouth a good plastic is a berkley 3'' leech. Use this with a drop shot rig. Both of these are what i think are the best plastics.
black and red flake tube texas rig, little tip put some alcacelcer are what ever you call it, but put a little bit in the tube all the way up inside the tube works well like that in murky water try it it might as well be against the law but it aint
i love the 4 plastic lizards on a a million/0 malicious software hook and a chop up shot to get it down. 4 is a good length and all length bass, bluegill crappie hit the lizard. attempt fishing lower than the dock to capture the fish putting around the dock first. Bass like the cover docks provide. Have a great time!!!
There are several good ones that will tear the bass up! It also depends on where you're fishing. I use big plastics, small plastics, plastics for fishing over and in weeds, plastics around boat docks, plastics for heavy cover, and so on. I like Berkley Powerbait worms and craws a lot. I also use a lot of Zoom, Gambler, Net Bait, Mann's, Bass Assassin, Yum, Culprit, and Strike King plastics. I like to use Zoom grass craws when pitching thick cover, because the legs don't get hung up. I like to use Gambler Little Otters around and under boat docks. There are times when a smaller bait is needed and times when a more finesse approach is needed, so with that being said, make sure to get a few baits for varying styles, presentations, and techniques.
I found a plastic worm this spring that has worked like no plastic that I have ever used before, and I have been using plastics for over 30 years. In my opinion, I say that Berkeley has created the worlds best plastic worm for Bucketmouth Bass with the 'Gulp 7 Turtle Back, Pumpkinseed worm'. These things are nothing short of magic, find them, buy them, you'll love them. I Know the Bass do.
