Question:

Good Smoke/CO detector?

I'm looking for a good smoke/co detector that's relatively inexpensive and doesn't gobble up batteries too often.

Answer:

Although you are in wrong section, all I can say is, don't make a costume, buy a complete set of it and wear, take a picture and be proud by gazing on such, LOL.
Better buy one pre made. fiberglass or acrylic, 4 piece if you have narrow doorways. Don't buy cheap faucets because they can be difficult to replace.
I hope you're a good carpenter, plumber, sheetrocker and tile setter, because this is a big job for amateurs. I presume that this is a custom size or shape because everyone uses fiberglas panels for standard showers. The fiberglas panels take care of so many loose ends Your biggest concern will be getting the pan at the floor of the shower built correctly so it doesn't leak. Sheet metal is my recommendation but builders have used tar paper, PVC sheet, EPDM rubber sheet, etc for years. Pan has to fit / seal to the drain perfectly. Obviously, next big issue will be your plumbing. H C lines to the mixing valves, blocking support for the valve body, line to the shower head and framing support for all of that. Next biggey is your walls. Tile, I presume. You'll need to get tile board on the walls to hang the tile on later. Still that pesky problem with getting the wall tile to meet the floor tile so ALL the water goes down the drain. Lastly, the shower door / enclosure. Good luck. Call a pro to install their product or face weeks of DIY measuring cutting glass panels exactly right to fit then seal properly. All the while, you have no shower. Ok, my recommendation? Call a Contractor, give him your idea, tell him which weekend (3-4 weeks in the future) that he has to do it and get out of the way.
