Question:

Grass seed, lime, fertilizer question?

Ok - First off, I live in Georgia - I have a 2 acre yard, full sun for all of it. It's not a new years. It's been a quot;lawnquot; since 1979. There is plenty of grass, but I want my yard to look really good this year. I just got in from spreading about 5 bags of 10-10-10 fertilizer on it - I had my spreader about 1/2 way open - I was able to get about 3/4 of the yard. I'm going to go buy another 2-3 bags to finish. I also spread a handful of fertilizer around the base of the new trees that I planted last year. My question is, have I done enough? Do I need to spread just as much LIME as well? What exactly does LIME do? Is it too late to spread gass seed?

Answer:

Limes turn yellow when they're fully ripe. They're only green for shipping (which your firend doesn't have to worry about). Plus when people buy a lime in the store, they sort of excpect something with the name lime to be green.
Me neither, sorry. Perhaps it was an unripe lemon.
