H-D 98 sportster . Rattling in front end in lower gears. Squeeze front brake it stops. What gives?

Front brake works but rattling gets more common. What needs to be repaired or replaced? Any help appreciated.

Answer:

So you got this high price extra that is to improve your gas mileage and give you so much more horsepower and now you find out it didn't give you any more power and with the engine light on your gas mileage is crap. So put your old air intake back on or punch a hole in the new one and put your MAF sensor in. It may work, or it may not.
check to see if the front caliper, rotor, or brake pads are loose, that is probably the only thing that will cause the symptoms you describe
If your brake parts are tight please jack the bike up and check the whole front end for tightness in the neck area. If you're loose and/or bearings are shot it's VERY dangerous.
Brake pads are loose,Replace the pads and make sure the anti rattle spring is in place or properly shimmed. Different vehicles, all different makes of Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles have different types of anti rattle built in. If you leave it out the brakes will still work but they will rattle.
Clean the MAF sensor, it's contaminated with oil. Then remove the CAI and replace with the factory setup. You've been dupped into thinking this improves performance. All it makes is more noise
