Question:

hamster bedding?

can i use saw dust safely for hamster bedding?

Answer:

Saw dust should not be used as a regular bedding . The reason is that the particles are too small and hamsters gather their bedding in their mouth to move it from place to place. They in turn will swallow the particles that will swell in their stomachs after they drink water and will make their little stomach in essence explode and kill the little guy. Get the correct bedding either wood chips or corn husk pellets.
i quite advise the Carefresh bedding. risk-free snug, and it holds shape if your Hamster is slightly shape worker. the 2d, maximum each physique is asserting is risky, is by using the fact it is cotton and that can get the feet tangled and choke them. in case you want, purchase fluff, a style of element which you basically positioned slightly in slumbering factors. completely risk-free, mine loves it, and it quite is not that bedding, besides the undeniable fact that very comparable.
Saw dust is horrible for hamster bedding. Could accidently swallow it or breathe it in which would cause serious damage.I used soft wood chips. I suggest going to your local pet store and ask them what's best.
