Question:

I'm thinking about using commercial industrial scaffolding for my next deer stand.?

has anyone done this? Does this work out really well?thanks,Chad

Answer:

My dad's been talking about doing this on his property. Might spook the deer at first, so put it up well ahead of time
Sounds like a good idea. Only women would complain about the looks, if they are an outdoors person.
I don't see why not. It would certainly be sturdy enough, just be sure to secure it to the tree. I've known guys that have made them out of electrical conduit so I don't see why scaffolding wouldn't work.
I stumbled onto a deer stand like this in the woods and thought it seemed like a great idea. Make sure you chain it to a tree so it doesn't tip over.
i can only think of 2 problems. put boards under your feet so they dont sink in. even if it was tied to the tree, it would still tilt and be hard to sit on. also, it might be noisy. connections on that kind of scaffold are really loose. everything rattles. but maybe some foam, or weatherstripping would solve that.
