Question:

HCL , can dissolve these metals? & what are their out puts?

Im not an experienced chemist, have some experience in explosions, electricity acids.I have done experiments using battery acid (H2SO4) at home. But not HCL.I got some HCL from Harpic (toilet cleaner)[9.5% w/v]Got an aluminium foil from a capacitor, couple of iron sheets out of a transformer and some hair like strings of copper wire from another transformer. So i have copper, iron, aluminium. If i want to get results by combining each metal with HCL what amounts should I use? 2)Al + HCL ?3)Cu + HCL ?4)Fe + HCL ?

Answer:

Look up the activity series of the metals Al should react to give hydrogen gas and a solution of aluminum chlorideCu won't react Fe is sufficiently active that it should react, but with your dilute solution it will probably be very slow maybe half a gram of the metal to 20-30 mL of the acid?
