What are some good heavy metal songs for my ringtone?
People who hate nu-metal are people who are stuck in the past and cannot move with the times. I grew up in the sixties and there is nothing wrong with nu metal. People who do not like pop should be happy that metal is carrying on at all.
The problem with nu-metal is that it abandoned everything that made metal great. Good musicianship was sight unseen with Nu-metal. It always just came off as tripe to anybody who was into metal before it. Thankfully metal, especially the stuff coming out of Europe, has stayed on track. Now if modern American bands would realize you don't need to tune your guitars down to the Brown note to be heavy, we'd be good! @Fear LOL Rage...I remember reading that Tom Morello actually came up with the DJ Guitarist thing when he bought a guitar with a faulty toggle that made a scratchy/squeal noise when he hit it. Just a funny story.
metalheads hate hip hop because they (generalizing here) only like metal and nothing outside of it. nu-metal incorporates hip hop productions and techniques in the metal sub genre. Thus creating nu-metal. They believe its poseur music and etc. Or at least that's what I've been seeing.
A lot of people, not just in the metal scene, have trouble distinguishing between I don't like this at all and this is absolute trash and anyone who likes it is a cancer on this Earth. And I really dislike nu-metal. The difference between the former and the latter school of musical opinion is that those of us in the former camp simply respect other peoples' tastes and don't listen to what we don't like while the latter spend all day with a pole shoved up their *** about the fact that someone might like things they don't, trying to figure out the best way to take that pole and shove it up someone else's ***.
Well i dont like it...cus most the bands did not play metal....bands like korn..and others...i didnt like it when they frist came out ..but also at that time i was real big into hardcore punk bands...the music was never fast anufd for me...thats why i did listen to thrash bands...and got to other styles of metal....i think why there is alot of hate is because had piss ant kids who never heard of bands like venom...that created the black metal and thrash metal sound....then come out and say nu metal bands where better then the older bands...when most of the bands where into older metal bands....i always say if it wasnt for metallica gone mainstream ..bands like korn would have never made it...also there style come from metal and rap groups doing songs togather..in the late 80 early 90...i have found some nu metal bands that our more fused metal bands that are ok..but still i like the speed metal style the best...
