HELP!!!!!Lime green room with cherry wood furniture! Opinions?

i have this really ugly pink room. and i want lime green walls but i have cherry wood furniture. would that look wierd if painted the walls lime green?HELP!!!

Answer:

Not necessarily. The other posts about just doing 1 wall that color will keep the room from looking to small. Another thing you can do is paint the crown molding or borders a darker color. It tricks the eye and makes the walls look bigger.
All lime green? Perhaps you can mix apple white or butter yellow on 3 walls lime green on 1 wall. You can try it the other way round too. If you plan to use yellow for 3 walls, add white keep it as light as possible. To give height to the room, you can hang the curtain rod higher than the window. Pictures hung in horizontal formation will give an impression that the room is bigger.
Lime Green Girls Room
Depends on the strength of the color. A pastel lime green(that is green colorant mixed with white paint) is less strong than pure lime green(like the flag of Brazil below).(if you understand explanation) the rest is physical labor. Generally boys were blue and girls pink(it has been proven that most prefer it that way naturally) Lime green was for the third room which was neither the main boys or the main girls room. Most often it went to a second boy (sometimes a girl). Basically a non- sex room. Yellow is a bright kitchen color to wake you up and the bathroom depended on the fixture color.(or flooring that was going to be installed- so beige to pastel purple) Anyways the lighter pastel will not shrink the room as the solid strong lime color. Always, the stronger(or darker) the color, the more enclosed the room feels.
If you really like the lime green, you can paint your room successfully with this color. Paint the wall behind your bed the lime green. Then, paint the rest of the room the same lime green tone in a pastel color. This will allow you to get the color you want and not close in the room. You can use this same principal with just about any color you wish.
