Question:

Help no power to my trucks wiring harness?

I bought a 1993 toyota pickup and there was no head unit in it, so i was going to put a sony head unit in that i had and when i hooked it all up nothing worked so i took it all back apart and tested the wires that lead into the truck and only the cigarette lighter had 12 volts the rest of the wires did not so i was wondering why and where does the stock wiring harness lead to in the truck that i could check to see if its hooked up on the other end

Answer:

The fuse box.
your fuse box under the dash will have the fuse that is popped. test with a test light and replace the blown fuse, but make sure that there are no frayed wires in the radio harness that will potentially pop the new fuse. the fuse box on the yota's is normally under the drivers side dash, to the left of the brake pedal on the fire wall.

The switched wire is likely the radio fuse. The constant can be either the lighter or the clock fuse
