She is too young to have a blanket in the crib, get some warm jammies or a sleep sack. I have a couple of sleep sacks for my baby and she loves them and I know she is warm and cannot get it near her face. If you are still worried about her being cold, you can also put a hat on her head while she is sleeping.
I would get out of the apartment building as quickly as possible, using the stairs rather than the elevator (you should'nt use the elevator in a fire, I believe) and walking quickly rather than running (so as not to fall). But why did you put this question in the women's health section?
Gloves, safety glasses, and a pocket mask or BVM.
