Question:

plastic windows heating on drywall?

Hi there,My apartment is getting so cold. Since I can feel the cold air coming in through the windows I decided to buy a plastic kit that may help me on this situation. When I read on the back it says that it can not be done on drywall (there are not frames around the windows just the draywall). Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.

Answer:

double sided tape or get some cheap case molding.
it won't be pretty but you can get some duck tape and tape the plastic around the windows
Install heavy drapes on each window. This will cut down the draft. If the windows are in that bad shape you should ask your landlord to replace them.
Cut your plastic to fit inside the opeing and use Blue masking tape to adhere to window. Taping to the drywall will cause bigger problems when removing.
